Congratulations to Bruce!

Bruce shows off the award

Bruce Towers, who you can meet at link, was the first person in the world to complete the 100km Oxfam Trailwalker Challenge as a passenger (AKA pilot) rather than a walker.

Perhaps unsurprisingly, Oxfam Australia presented him, and by implication the whole of the two Parks Victoria teams, with the Oxfam State Street Overcoming the Odds Award at the Oxfam Trailwalker Melbourne Awards Night.

Suitably crazy Bruce ended up in a wheelchair after a helicopter crash in New Guinea. He is now involved in wheelchair parachuting (!) amongst other things.
